Anxiety.

Anxiety.

Anxiety is a twister. There’s something about the imagery that just fits. The chaos. The unpredictability. The way it can sweep in out of nowhere and completely take over.
When you’re in the middle of anxiety, it can feel like you’re being pulled into the suction zone—thoughts spinning, heart racing, everything moving too fast to catch your breath.

Grief Doesn’t Have a Full Stop

Grief isn’t linear, neat, or predictable. It doesn’t follow a timeline and it definitely doesn’t play by society’s rules. Whether you’re grieving a person, a relationship, a version of yourself, or even something that never came to be, it can feel like the ground has shifted beneath you. And honestly? That’s because it has.

Imposter Syndrome: How to Overcome it.

Imposter syndrome can be persistent, but it doesn’t have to define us. By understanding the different ways it manifests, connecting with others who share our struggles, using grounding techniques and remembering that we are not alone in our doubts, we can shift the narrative. We begin to move from a place of uncertainty and fear to one of clarity, hope and confidence.

Life is Messy and Thats OK!

So, who gets to decide what’s messy? Most people would say society or the “rules” we’re supposed to follow. But what if you were the only one who could define it? I truly believe that if we stopped labelling our mess and just accepted it, life would feel a lot easier. Acceptance is what separates deep lasting pain, from the kind of pain we can move through. Childhood and its impact on your world view.

Many ask why we need to go back? Why we need to talk about our childhood? I like to describe this period of reflection as the racetrack. You see, without glimpsing the starting point the race to the finish line loses attraction and the finish line means nothing. We only cheer for those that have completed the race when we have seen just how far they ran! Without the starting point we have nothing.

Disaster Recovery from Within.

The idea of being rebuilt implies going back to where you came from and there is no room for “backwards” in recovery.  Therefore, perhaps coming home to your ‘sense of self’ is the best indicator for recovery from a disaster and in life. Written another way it is being ‘ready’ to open the door to the next chapter of your crazy wonderful life.

Healthy Brain, Healthy Thoughts.

I like to think of our bodies as cars and our brains as the motor of the car. For example, my body is a BMW x5 or you may prefer a trustworthy Kia Carnival…hehe. Jokes aside, using visualisation helps you prioritise Brain Health which is something I am so passionate about. Not only does your body need work but your motor needs to be tuned regularly. In the mental health space this looks like checking in with a mental health professional, perhaps chatting with your GP or a close friend. Its being vulnerable.
